Position Overview:

We seek application from qualified individuals with excellent accounting skills to join our Asia Office as a Finance Assistant. The position will report to the Senior Manager Finance, and shall be responsible for providing support to the Finance team in terms of payments, reconciliation, transaction support, reporting and ensuring compliance to all legal & statutory requirements.

Primary Responsibilities and Tasks:

  1. Data Entry
    1. Validation and ensure online data entries in QB /Tally accounting software
    2. Preparation of vouchers for Bank payments, Cash payments, Journal, receipts etc.
  2. Payments
    1. Ensure timely receipt of expense statements/reports & invoices from vendors and staff. Assist staff on financial queries, where needed.
    2. Verify accuracy and completeness of supporting documents required for the invoices raised by vendors, partners, consultants or staff. Follow statutory norms for all payments.
  3. Bank
    1. Prepare monthly Bank Reconciliation Statement.
    2. Co-ordinate with bankers for queries on financial transactions and ensuring of receiving all necessary advices from Bank includes FIRC’s.
  4. Accounting
    1. Maintain financial records & monitor systems to record and reconcile expenditures, balances, payments and other data for day to day transactions and reports.
    2. Assist Senior Manager Finance in preparing monthly/quarterly expense reports for submission to DC office and other reports as needed.
  5. Process Documentation & Others
    1. Filing of vouchers, financial statements, Travel expense reports, consultancy agreements, partner financial reports and keeping it well organized.
    2. Maintaining database of all consultants in excel
    3. Updating PF register on monthly basis
    4. Updating Fixed Assets register on monthly basis
    5. Assist the Director, Finance & Administration and Senior Manager Finance on various other finance and accounting issues
  6. Statutory Compliance
    1. Preparation of TDS and GST returns on monthly basis.
    2. Ensure all statutory dues to be paid as per the dead line.
    3. Coordinate and provide support for all statutory and other internal/external audits
  7. Any other task as may be allotted from time to time by the Supervisor.

Required Candidate Profile:

Education: Graduate / Post Graduate Degree in Accounts/Finance with working knowledge of QuickBooks preferred.

Experience: Minimum 3 years in similar position in the development sector.


  • Proficiency in one or more accounting softwares (eg. Tally, QuickBooks etc.)
  • Strong interpersonal skills in order to interface with all levels of internal staff Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously with competing deadlines;
  • Demonstrated resourcefulness and professional maturity to handle sensitive and confidential data and matters with discretion is a must.
  • Must be self-directed and possess the ability to work independently as well as with a team.
